Caroline O'Connor

Caroline was selected as cox of the women's eight for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games and finished 5th. 

Caroline has coxed the women's eight for the past three seasons winning bronze at the 2007 World Championships in Munich. She raced in the eight in the 2007 World Cup series, always reaching the A Final and finishing 2nd, 5th and 4th and to a bronze medal at the World Championships in Munich. In the 2008 World Cup series she coxed the eight to 5th, 6th and 3rd place.

She learnt to cox at Oxford Brookes University in 2001. She became National Champion in the women's coxed four in 2002 and in 2004 was the men's eight cox at the World University Championships.

Caroline went on to be part of the women's eight which performed so well at the 2005 World Championships, finishing 5th.

Following that, she finished 6th in Munich and 4th in Lucerne during the 2006 World Cup Series.

At the 2006 World Championships at Eton the GB women's eight finished eighth.

She graduated from Oxford Brookes in Human Biology in 2004 and is now training full time with the squad.
