Chad King
Chad has been selected as Head Coach for the 2008 Beijing Paralympic Games where he coached the men's and women's single sculls and the mixed coxed four.
Chad learnt to row when he was 15 years old as part of a talent identification scheme. He went on to represent Nepean Rowing Club as a junior and Sydney University Boat Club as a lightweight sculler. When he gave up rowing, he decided to go into coaching in order to stay involved with the sport.
Between 2001 and 2005 he coached at The King's School, Parramatta.
Chad is a founding member of The Lakes Rowers, based at the Sydney International Regatta Centre and formed a rowing squad for people with disabilities there. He was subsequently selected to coach the Australian LTA coxed four at the 2002 and 2003 World Rowing Championships, where both crews won gold.
Chad was selected as a Performance Coach for the GB Adaptive Rowing Squad in 2005 and was appointed Lead Coach in 2006.
He is currently studying for a MSc in Sports Science at Brunel University, specialising in Physiology and Biomechanics.
