Frances Fletcher

Frances first took up competitive rowing at Tyne Rowing Club in 2000.

This is Frances' third year at U23s. Frances was 6th in the lightweight double scull at the 2007 World U23 Championships and in 2006 she won silver in the open women's quadruple scull. Also in 2006, Frances represented Great Britain at the World University Rowing Championships in the women's lightweight double scull.

Frances represented Great Britain for the first time in 2004 at the Coupe de la Jeunesse, where she won gold in the women's quadruple scull. The following year, in 2005, she won a bronze medal at the World Junior Rowing Championships in the women's eight.

She was part of the British team that competed at the Youth Olympic Festival in Australia in January 2006, where she won two gold medals, in the quadruple scull and in the eight. Frances has also won two Women's Henley Regatta events: the senior quadruple sculls in 2006 and the lightweight quadruple sculls in 2007.

Frances is a student at Durham University, where she is studying Sport.
