Hugo Lee

He is a former World U23 silver medalist who finished 5th in the final of the men's pair at the 2007 GB Rowing Senior Trials. He came 5th in the eight at the Linz World Cup in June 2007 and won a bronze in the eight at the Amsterdam World Cup.

Hugo took up rowing at the age of 16 while at Eton College as he “wasn't great at cricket”. He rowed in the GB eight at the World Rowing Junior Championships in 2002 and stroked the GB four that won silver in the World Rowing U23 Championships in Poland in 2004.

In 2006 Hugo graduated from Oxford Brookes University in Real Estate Management.

During 2006 he raced with the Men's squad, gaining a 5th place at the Munich World Cup and a 6th place in Lucerne, both in the eight.

At the 2006 World Championships he was selected in the GB men's coxed four finishing 5th.

Hugo's other interests include farming, golf, tennis and skiing. His father is an arable and beef farmer in the Scottish Borders and supplies Waitrose.
