James Roberts

James started rowing in February 2006 in Cardiff and is now in his third season racing with Karen in the TA2x.  In 2007 the double finished 8th in the World ensuring a qualifying place for the 2008 Paralympic Games.

A talented swimmer, James swam on the GB development team in 2004 and 2005.

He is in his first year at Swansea University studying Sports Science. The university is kindly helping him balance his studies with living and training in Caversham.

James is interested in many different sports and describes himself as 'sport-mad'. He enjoys karate, taekwondo and ten-pin bowling and is an avid Manchester United fan.

James Roberts is lottery funded through UK Sport.
