Jessica Eddie
Jess was selected for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games for the women's eight and finished 5th.
Jess was twice a bronze medallist at the World U23 Championships and has also represented GB at junior and senior level. She raced in the eight in the 2007 World Cup series, always reaching the A Final and finishing 2nd, 5th and 4th. She won a bronze medal in the eight at the 2007 World Rowing Championships. In the 2008 World Cup series she raced in the eight finishing 5th, 6th and 3rd.
Jess learnt to row in Durham at the age of eight and combined rowing with rugby and netball while at St Leonards RC Comprehensive.
She first represented GB in the women's quad at the World Junior Championships, finishing 6th in 2001 and 8th in 2002. She won a bronze medal in the women's pair at the World Under 23 Championships in 2003 and rowed in the senior four at the 2004 World Championships which finished 6th.
Jess raced in the eight in the early 2005 season and won bronze in the pair at the World Under 23 Championships in Amsterdam in July. She went on to be part of the women's eight which performed so well at the 2005 World Championships, finishing 5th.
At the World Rowing Championships in Eton she raced in the pair finishing 11th.
Jess rows now for University of London Women's BC and is currently studying for a degree in biology at Royal Holloway. Her twin sister Alexandra also rowed.
