Katie Greves
Katie was selected for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games for the women's eight and finished 5th.
Katie is a member of the women's sweep squad and has represented GB at junior, U23 and senior level. She raced in the eight in the 2007 World Cup series, always reaching the A Final and finishing 2nd, 5th and 4th. She topped the season by winning bronze in the eight at the 2007 World Rowing Championships. In the 2008 World Cup series she raced in the eight finishing 5th and 6th.
Katie learnt to row at Headington School. She won bronze in the women's four at the World Junior Championships in 1999 and represented GB three times at U23 level, winning bronze in the pair in 2003, finishing 4th in the four in 2001 and 7th in the single in 2004.
Katie won bronze in the GB eight at the first World Cup regatta of 2005 at Eton and then raced in the pair with Carla Ashford at the Lucerne World Cup, winning a further bronze medal. She was selected in the women's eight that performed so well at the 2005 World Championships in Japan, finishing 5th.
During the 2006 World Cup, she finished 6th in Munich, then went on to take bronze in Poznan and 4th place in Lucerne.
At the 2006 World Championships at Eton the GB women's eight finished 8th.
Katie was vice–captain of University of London Boat Club from 2003–4 and graduated in Literature in 2004.
Katie is Lottery Funded through UK Sport.
