Monica Relph

Monica is currently part of the World Class Start scheme, having been identified in 2005. She began rowing at Rob Roy Boat Club under the guidance of Mary McLachlan and Adrian Cassidy, mostly sculling in her single.

In the last year, however, Monica has started to row and raced in a club eight over the summer of 2007.

Monica did netball and hockey while at school although she admits she does not come from a particularly sporty background. She would like to stay involved in sport by getting a job in it when she is older.  

Her pastimes include films, music, cooking and spending time with family and friends. She also enjoys riding her motorbike, a Suzuki, when she is at home.

She is currently in her first year at Loughborough University studying Sport Science.
