Rob Williams

Rob was selected for the 2008 Beijing Games as one of the spares. 

Rob's first season of international rowing was in 2006 when he raced in the lightweight four at the World U23 Rowing Champsions, finishing 6th. In 2007 while still "under 23" Rob won a bronze medal at the World Rowing Championships in the lightweight quadruple scull. He raced in the lightweight quadruple scull at the 2008 Poznan World Cup finishing 3rd. 

Rob has been selected as lightweight men's reserve for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. 

Rob started rowing at Maidenhead Rowing Club when he was 16. At university he spent his first season rowing for UCLBC after he moved to London Rowing Club which is his current club.

Rob completed his undergraduate degree from UCL in the summer of 2006. He decided to continue his education by starting a PhD at UCL/Birkbeck in X–ray crystallography.
