Tom Lucy

Tom was selected in the men's eight for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games and won a silver medal. 

Tom made his senior GB debut aged 19 when he won a place in the men's eight which won bronze at the World Championships in Munich. At the first World Cup of 2008 he raced in the men's four, substituting for an injured rower, when the crew impressed with an exceptional performance to win gold. He also rowed in the eight at the Poznan World Cup and finished 2nd.

Tom learnt to row at Monmouth School and gained his first GB Junior Vest in 2005 when he won bronze in the men's four at the World Juniors in Brandenburg. In 2006 he was again selected in the four where the crew produced an exceptional performance in the final to win gold, ahead of Germany and Slovenia.

Tom raced with two other members of the four at the Australian Youth Olympic Festival in Sydney in January 2007, winning gold in the four and pair and silver in the eight.
