Vicki Hansford

Vicki was selected in the LTA coxed four for the 2008 Beijing Paralympic Games and won a bronze medal. 

Vicki started rowing in February 2006 having previously competed successfully in track athletics.

Before, being diagnosed with cancer and losing part of her right leg, she studied Physical Education at undergraduate level at Leeds Met University, where she also competed in the national netball league.

She is now studying for an MSc in Sports Psychology at Brunel University.

For the last five years, Vicki has worked as a Sports Development Manager at the University of Surrey. She is currently taking a year out in order to train full time for the Paralympics.

Vicki won a silver medal in the LTA coxed four at the 2007 World Championships in Munich.
