ARA Rowing Tour 2008
The ARA's fifteenth annual rowing tour is underway on the River Severn. Starting in Stourport on Thursday 28th August the rowers will cover a distance of just over 70km in three days. This year they'll be passing through Worcester and Tewkesbury, stopping for picnic lunches along the way, before they finish up in Gloucester.
Not everyone will do the full tour as it's possible to sign up for just a day or two, and there's no need for non-rowing partners to feel left out as the helpful organisers will provide a programme of events for them too.
If this sort of rowing appeals to you visit www.recrowing.org.uk or take a look at our Club Finder section to see if there's a club near you.
For the really dedicated tourer the FISA World Rowing Tour takes place in Argentina from 19th - 25th October. Further information from www.worldrowing.com
