Club Water Safety Audit 2008-09

Club Water Safety Audit The Club Water Safety Audit is a recognised part of each club's affiliation and as such it must be completed and submitted no later than Wednesday 31st December 2008. If there are legitimate reasons for not being able to achieve this, then it is essential your Regional Water Safety Adviser be informed as soon as possible before the deadline.

The Audit includes a section to summarise your Incident Log Book. As with last year the Incident Log Book summary year runs from October 1st until September 30th, which is more rational for academic institutes besides allowing time to be combined with the Audit and just one document to submit.

Once your Audit is received, your Regional Water Safety Adviser will be in a position to respond and advise where necessary. Your RWSA will also be able to communicate directly with you as part of a regional network, where ideas, problems and good practice can be shared.

Therefore, if your Safety Audit is to be of benefit to your club, it should be an honest statement of your present position and practices, not a test to pass or fail. It is hoped it will highlight points of good practice and progress, besides areas that you may be prompted to consider further in developing safety at your club.

The procedure for submitting your audit is the same as previous years:
