Launch Driving

The RYA Level 2 Powerboat Handling Certificate is the minimum standard all launch drivers should aim for.  Check your regional pages for courses in your area or visit the RYA website www.ryatraining.org

Trailer Driving

The DVLA publishes a leaflet 'Requirement for Towing Trailers in Great Britain'. Further information is available from www.direct.gov.uk/motoring

First Aid

Your local region may be organising a course or look at St John's Ambulance www.sja.org.uk/training or the Red Cross www.redcrossfirstaidtraining.co.uk sites for more information about practical instruction.  First aid qualifications are normally only valid for three years so if your role requires it you should ensure you take refresher training.

Child Protection

In Autumn 2008 the ARA is launching an accredited Safeguarding and Protecting Children training module for Club Welfare Officers. Sports coach UK also runs 'Time to Listen' courses.
