&#039;Chris Nilsson has been appointed Chief Coach of the Cambridge University Boat Club. Chris joins the Club from his previous position as Olympic coach with Rowing New Zealand. He will lead the CUBC squad in the 2009 Boat Race campaign.

GB University rowers won three medals - a silver and two bronzes - at the 2008 FISU World University Championships in  Belgrade, on Sunday. 
&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;
Earlier in the qualifying rounds, GB had qualified all eight boats  for the A Finals -  an excellent team performance. In those finals no boat finished lower than 5th in the world.

The 10th World Rowing University Championships will be held at the Regatta Centre Ada Ciganlija, Belgrade from Friday 5th to Sunday 7th September.

University rowing was celebrating today after a record medal haul from the Shunyi Rowing-Canoeing Park (16-17 August 2008). 
&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;
Twenty university students and alumni took home five of the six Olympic medals, including two bronze, two silver and one gold - the biggest medal haul for GB rowing since 1908.
