Rowing Regatta at the London Youth Games

For the first time since the early 1990’s there will be a regatta held as part of the London Youth Games. This is an annual sporting festival between the 33 London Boroughs - and the regatta, sponsored by Thames Water, is now being revived.

The games have included indoor rowing since 2006, becoming a point scoring event for boroughs from 2007 when 28 of the 33 boroughs sent teams. In 2008 indoor rowing will remain as a point scoring event whilst the water regatta will be a demonstration sport - with a view to being points scoring from 2009.
